Schwarze-Robitec presents new cutting system at Fabtech 2022
Resource-efficient bending to gain a competitive edge
Schwarze-Robitec’s fully electric multi-radius tube bending machine with newly developed cutting system is resource-saving, user-friendly and highly efficient. The Cologne-based company is for the first time presenting the circular cutting device to an American audience at the metalworking trade fair Fabtech in Atlanta. The industry professionals attending the event will find out what the device can do and how the machine is an all-rounder when it comes to bending tubes.
The fully electric multi-radius tube bending machine CNC 80 E TB MR offers short turnaround times and high precision as well as being easy to use. In 2022, Schwarze-Robitec added an exciting new feature to this proven all-rounder. The circular cutting device cuts tubes directly during the bending process with outstanding cutting quality. The tube bending machine manufacturer is therefore now able to offer greater resource efficiency than ever before. Against the backdrop of a global economic situation defined by a lack of raw materials and tricky supply conditions, this is a crucial competitive edge for production companies from demanding industries such as the automotive supplier market.
Near-perfect cutting quality without additional calibration
The circular cutting device’s three cutting wheels circle around the tube several times at an angle of 120°, gradually cutting through the tube without creating shavings. Users benefit from near-perfect cutting quality and there is no need for any additional calibration. As the cutting point can also be between two bends, intermediate lengths can thus be reduced to a minimum. The cutting wheels can be easily replaced after being worn down, which helps to ensure a sustainable use of materials.
An efficient production process
The machine guarantees an efficient production process thanks to numerous additional features: The intelligent NxG control prepares all machine axles simultaneously for the subsequent steps in the bending sequence. A vertically adjustable pressure die moves to the individual levels in sync with the tube. The Quick-Tool-Unlock system in combination with a rapid clamping system for the bend former enables easy tool changing with high repeat accuracy.
Schwarze-Robitec will be presenting these and further benefits of fast and resource-efficient production at the Fabtech trade fair (exhibition stand C10637) from 8 to 10 November.
